My husband and I traveled with Claudia to Italy and could not have been more pleased with our experience. The entire trip was seamless — everything was done for us, such that we were never reminded that we were on a tour. We were never rushed, and always allowed time to commune with the artifacts and art. Everywhere we went, we experienced the people and places on a personal level — talking to a winemaker as we tasted her wares, watching jewelers mounting diamonds and polishing gold in a workshop that isn't on any map. Claudia also pays special attention to her guests' preferences; she arranged for my husband, an inveterate hamburger aficionado, to have a hamburger at each restaurant. Happy man! Traveling with Claudia is memorable, nuanced, seamless, and never challenging. Count yourself lucky if you travel with her.
Claudia was more than helpful! She took such amazing care of us — giving us great direction, key pieces of advice on what to do, sharing her personal experiences from her many travels, and treating us like she was taking care of her own family, though we'd never met and live on opposite sides of the United States. I am thankful we had Claudia help us and didn't try to navigate planning on our own.

I spent much of my career as an airline captain, so travel has been a large part of my life. I have stayed in more hotels than I can remember and have seen firsthand how many moving parts must come together for a complicated trip to work well.
Claudia got every one of them right.
In Johannesburg before our safari, she set up great tours of Soweto, Mandela's home, and the museum at The Cradle of Humankind.
The hotels she chose before our safari were excellent. The hotel in Mbombela, formerly Nelspruit, was more than that. It was magical. The setting was beautiful, our dinner was memorable, and the room was one of the finest I have stayed in anywhere in the world.
From there, the transfers to the safari camp in Sabi Sands adjacent to Kruger National Park worked perfectly. The camp itself was lovely, the people were warm and welcoming, and the animals were abundant. Ours was a photo safari, and Claudia arranged for National Geographic-recognized photographers to guide and teach us. From beginning to end, there was no glitch.
What I appreciated most was that this never felt like a trip pulled from a brochure. Claudia designed it for us. It felt personal, thoughtful, and beautifully put together.
